Seems like the young today do nothing but sit for hours watching mindless drivel on their computers.
Things were different in MY day – then, we spent our time watching mindless drivel on TELEVISION!

Congratulations upon your (albeit comical) honesty in the second paragraph. It is said to be the best policy (and I believe it). I wish the clever thought had occurred to me.
It is not, as far as I know, that there are any actual prizes to be given for such an admission, but I expect that, if one got in with it quickly enough, one’s parents might be impressed.
But only quietly. It might not, I suspect, stop them from revealing many details to their grand-children. I am just speculating here. Good luck to all parents and g-parents.
Hope you’re not including the mighty works of Gerry Anderson in your definition of “mindless drivel”!
